The Chat page#

Chat in the main window is where you type to Moe and read what it said. The rail on the left, Conversations, lists your conversations by day; the pencil starts a fresh one (⌘N), and a right-click on one offers Delete. The box at the bottom says Ask Moe, or Ask Moe — quietly while a meeting is recording; + beside it adds a photo or a file, the microphone button talks, and Return sends. An empty conversation greets you, Hey. What's up?, and says to hold the talk key or type.

Delete a conversation and its key is destroyed on every device you use Moe on, so nothing can read it again.

Settings › Chats#

The Chat page lists the conversations you have had recently. Settings › Chats is the whole archive: all of them, newest first, each with the last thing said in it, how many turns it ran to, where it happened, here, on Telegram, or both if you carried one on from your phone, and when. Read opens it and shows every turn.

Searching goes through the words, not the titles. Type a phrase, press Search or Return, and Moe looks in two places: what it holds itself, and its thinking part's index of everything ever said on any channel. The second one finds things the first cannot, because the index keeps more of a conversation than Moe's own record does, and a result found that way says so underneath.

A conversation you deleted can never come back here. Deleting destroys the key, so Moe can no longer read its own copy, and the search is only ever allowed to look inside the conversations Moe still holds the keys to: a deleted one is never on that list. Some conversations are in Moe's record without their words; the page counts them rather than listing them, and says what that means: a deleted one, or one from another device whose key has not arrived here yet.
